The initial company was an earthwork and general contractor, a sole proprietorship that was a family concern. Wai Tatt Construction was formed and incorporated on September 1, 1982.

In late 1995, the company experienced extensive growth, executed and managed through a partnership with more than twenty years of hands-on experience and expertise in Earthwork, Road & Drainage Work, Infrastructure, and Building Works.

With the company’s growth in recent years, WAI TATT ENGINEERING SDN BHD was established in 2017 and achieved Grade G7 registration with CIDB as a civil engineering and building contractor. This was followed by the establishment of WAI TATT MACHINERY SDN BHD in 2019, specialising in crane, skylift, and lorry crane services. In 2023, WAI TATT CONCRETE EQUIPMENT SDN BHD was formed to handle Concrete Pump Truck operations, and in 2024, WAI TATT UNILINK SDN BHD was established to provide excavator services.
